Yazarken şunları eklersen yardım etmemiz kolaylaşır: iPad ya da iPhone modelin, iOS / iPadOS sürümün, klavyenin modeli, bağlantın (USB ya da WIDI) ve ne olduğu — hangi ekranda neye bastın, ne bekledin, ne oldu.

3 adımda kurulum

Başlamadan önce klavyeni hazırla: hazır dosyaları iste (SYS.SET › Request Sets), klavyenin hazır ayar dosyasını klavyene yükle, sonra klavye notlarını uygula. WIDI kullanıyorsan adaptörün adına klavyenin modelini yaz.

  1. Klavyeni bağla: USB kabloyla ya da WIDI ile.
  2. Portları seç: SYS.SET ekranında PORT 1'e ana klavyeni seç (tek klavye bağlıysa kendiliğinden seçilir). Varsa PORT 2'ye ikinci klavyeni seç; Pa serisinde nefes kontrolcünü PORT 3 // BREATH IN'e seç (Kronos'ta PORT 3 gerekmez). Seçimlerin hatırlanır; ikinci klavye ve nefes kontrolcüsü hiçbir zaman kendiliğinden seçilmez.
  3. Setini yükle: CBA Core ile e-postayla gelen hazır seti Dosyalar'a kaydet, sonra COMBI ekranının menüsünden Load Set ile yükle. Hazırsın.

Hazır ayar dosyaları ve CBA Core seti

Pa4X, Pa1000, Pa5X ve Kronos için ikişer hazır dosya var: klavyene yüklenen hazır ayar dosyası (Pa'da SET, Kronos'ta Kronos dosyası) ve CBA Core'a Load Set ile yüklenen hazır CBA Core seti. CBA Core'u App Store'dan aldıysan klavyene uygun iki dosyayı ücretsiz olarak, e-postayla birlikte göndeririz:

  1. SYS.SET ekranında Request Sets'e bas; dolu bir e-posta taslağı açılır.
  2. E-postayı gönder. Klavyen bağlı ve PORT 1'de seçiliyse modeli e-postaya kendiliğinden eklenir; değilse klavyenin modelini e-postaya sen yaz.
  3. Satın alman Apple üzerinden doğrulanır; dosyalar e-postayla gelir.

Bunun için internet bağlantısı ve App Store girişi gerekir. Cihazında Mail hesabı yoksa varsayılan e-posta uygulaman açılır.

Setin hangi SWAM'ları kullandığı cihazına göre değişebilir; bunları setle birlikte gönderdiğimiz e-postada yazarız. Setini yüklemeden önce bu SWAM'ları iPad'ine ya da iPhone'una kur; kurulu olmayan SWAM'dan ses gelmez.

Pa'nın SET'i klavyenin kendi dosyasıdır; CBA Core'un menüsündeki Load Set ile yüklediğin CBA Core setiyle karıştırma.

Solo yaylılarda (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass) aynı SWAM'ı paylaşan slotların Strings Model ayarı aynı olmalı. Farklı model isteyen slot için o enstrümanın ayrı bir kopyasını kullan; yoksa bir tuşa basılıyken ses değiştirdiğinde asılı nota kalabilir. Editörde SAVE'e bastığında CBA Core bunu fark ederse uyarır: Strings Model Mismatch — Save Anyway / Cancel.

Kablosuz sahne (WIDI)

Kablosuz bağlantı CME'nin WIDI Uhost (klavyenin USB'si için) ve WIDI Jack (5 pin MIDI için) adaptörleriyle yapılır.

Hangi klavyelerle çalışır?

Ana klavye: Korg Kronos, Korg Pa4X, Korg Pa1000, Korg Pa5X. İkinci klavye (sahada denendi): Korg Kronos, Korg Pa4X, Korg Pa5X, Korg Pa1000; ikinci klavye iPad'den koma, transpoze ve ribbon alır, çaldığı notalar SWAM'a karışmaz. Hangi iPad ya da iPhone gerekir?

SWAM enstrümanları CBA Core'a dahil mi?

Hayır. SWAM enstrümanları Audio Modeling'den ayrıca alınır; CBA Core onları sahnede çalıştırır.

Uygulamayı açtım, bankam boş.

Normal: CBA Core her açılışta boş bankayla açılır. COMBI ekranının menüsünden Load Set ile setini yükle: ilk gün CBA Core ile gelen hazır seti, sonra Export Combi Set ile aldığın kendi set dosyanı.

Değişikliklerim bir sonraki açılışta yok.

Editördeki SAVE değişikliği yalnız o oturum için sabitler. Kalıcı olması için menüden Export Combi Set ile yeni bir set dosyası al; sonraki açılışta onu Load Set ile yükle.

Klavyem görünmüyor.

Kabloyu ya da WIDI bağlantısını kontrol et, sonra sağ çekmecedeki REFRESH MIDI'ye bas: bağlantılar yeniden taranır. SYS.SET ekranında PORT 1'de ana klavyenin seçili olduğuna bak. WIDI kullanıyorsan adaptörün adı klavyenin modelini taşımalı (ör. WIDI PA4X).

İkinci klavyem ya da nefes kontrolcüm çalışmıyor.

İkisi de hiçbir zaman kendiliğinden seçilmez. SYS.SET ekranında PORT 2'ye ikinci klavyeni seç; Pa serisinde nefes kontrolcünü PORT 3 // BREATH IN'e seç. Kronos'ta nefes, Kronos'un kendi USB kablosundan gelir; ayarı hazır Kronos dosyasıyla kurulur, PORT 3 gerekmez.

Nefes kontrolcüsünü Pa'ya nasıl bağlarım?

Pa'dan seçtiğim ses iPad'de görünmüyor.

iPad'deki transpoze Pa'ya uygulanmıyor.

Pa'nda Master Transpose kilitli olabilir; kilitliyse iPad'den verdiğin transpoze klavyene uygulanmayabilir. Kilidi kaldır: Pa4X ve Pa1000'de Global › General Controls › Lock › Tuning › Master Transpose · Pa5X'te Settings › Menu › General Controls › Lock › Tuning › Master Transpose.

Kronos'ta koma, transpoze ya da Learn çalışmıyor.

Kronos'ta Global › P1: MIDI › MIDI Filter › Enable Exclusive açık olmalı.

Oktav düğmesi Pa'mı etkilemiyor.

Pa serisi klavyeler oktav komutu almaz; Pa'da kendi oktav tuşunu kullan. iPad'deki oktav, SWAM'ları ve Kronos'u birlikte taşır.

Portamento pedalım çalışmıyor.

Önce pedal atamasına bak: Kronos'ta Portamento SW, Pa4X, Pa1000 ve Pa5X'te Soft Pedal (yukarıdaki klavye notları). Pedal, sol çekmecedeki PORTAMENTO ENGINE düğmesi PEDAL CONTROL'deyken iş görür; CBA Core her açılışta bu modla başlar.

Bir SWAM sesi asılı kaldı.

Sağ çekmecedeki PANIC'e bas: SWAM'lar anında susar. Klavyene panik gönderilmez, klavyen kilitlenmez.

Çalarken kablo çıktı.

SWAM'lar susar. Kabloyu geri takınca kaldığın yerden devam edersin.

Ses kartı gerekir mi?

WIDI kullanıyorsan gerekmez: iPad ya da iPhone'un tek portu boş kalır, şarj ve kulaklık çıkışı aynı anda kullanılır. Tamamen kablolu kurmak istersen USB hub ve ses kartıyla kurabilirsin.

It helps us if you include your iPad or iPhone model, your iOS / iPadOS version, your keyboard model, your connection (USB or WIDI) and what happened — which screen you were on, what you tapped, what you expected and what you got.

Setup in 3 steps

Before you start, get your keyboard ready: request the ready-made files (SYS.SET › Request Sets), load your keyboard's setup file into your keyboard, then follow the keyboard notes. If you use WIDI, name the adapter after your keyboard model.

  1. Connect your keyboard: with a USB cable or with WIDI.
  2. Choose the ports: on the SYS.SET screen, choose your main keyboard for PORT 1 (if only one keyboard is connected, it is chosen automatically). If you have one, choose your second keyboard for PORT 2; on a Pa series keyboard, choose your breath controller for PORT 3 // BREATH IN (with a Kronos, PORT 3 is not needed). Your choices are remembered; the second keyboard and the breath controller are never chosen automatically.
  3. Load your set: save the ready-made set that comes with CBA Core by email to Files, then load it with Load Set from the menu on the COMBI screen. You're ready.

How it works day to day

Ready-made setup files and CBA Core set

There are two ready-made files for each of the Pa4X, Pa1000, Pa5X and Kronos: a setup file you load into your keyboard (a SET on the Pa, a Kronos file on the Kronos) and a ready-made CBA Core set you load into CBA Core with Load Set. If you bought CBA Core on the App Store, we email you both files for your keyboard together, free of charge:

  1. On the SYS.SET screen, tap Request Sets; a pre-filled email draft opens.
  2. Send the email. If your keyboard is connected and chosen for PORT 1, its model is added to the email automatically; if not, write your keyboard model in the email yourself.
  3. Your purchase is verified through Apple, and the files arrive by email.

This needs an internet connection, and you must be signed in to the App Store. If no account is set up in Mail on your device, your default email app opens instead.

The SWAM instruments a set uses can depend on your device; we list them in the email we send with the set. Before loading your set, install these SWAM instruments on your iPad or iPhone; a SWAM that isn't installed simply doesn't play.

The Pa SET is your keyboard's own file; don't confuse it with the CBA Core set you load with Load Set in CBA Core's menu.

Slots that share the same SWAM

For solo strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass), slots that share the same SWAM must use the same Strings Model setting. For a slot that needs a different model, use a separate copy of that instrument; otherwise a note may hang if you switch sounds while holding a key. If CBA Core notices this when you tap SAVE in the editor, it warns you: Strings Model Mismatch — Save Anyway / Cancel.

Wireless stage (WIDI)

The wireless connection uses CME's WIDI Uhost (for the keyboard's USB) and WIDI Jack (for 5-pin MIDI) adapters.

Frequently asked questions

Which keyboards does it work with?

Main keyboard: Korg Kronos, Korg Pa4X, Korg Pa1000, Korg Pa5X. Second keyboard (tested on stage): Korg Kronos, Korg Pa4X, Korg Pa5X, Korg Pa1000; the second keyboard takes koma, transpose and ribbon from the iPad, and the notes it plays don't mix into SWAM. With a Pa series main keyboard you can also add a breath controller with MIDI output; with a Kronos, the breath controller comes in through the Kronos's own USB cable. This list contains only devices we have tested on stage.

Which iPad or iPhone do I need?

An iPad or iPhone (landscape on iPhone) with iOS / iPadOS 17 or later. For heavy sets with many SWAM instruments, we recommend an iPad.

Are SWAM instruments included?

No. SWAM instruments are bought separately from Audio Modeling; CBA Core runs them on stage.

How do I get the ready-made sets?

CBA Core opens with an empty bank. If you bought CBA Core on the App Store, we email you the ready-made set for your keyboard, free of charge: tap SYS.SET › Request Sets and send the email that opens. Your purchase is verified through Apple, and the set arrives by email. Save the attachment to Files, then load it with Load Set from the menu on the COMBI screen.

This needs an internet connection, and you must be signed in to the App Store; if no account is set up in Mail on your device, your default email app opens instead. If your keyboard is connected and chosen for PORT 1, its model is added to the email automatically; if not, write the model in the email yourself. For the set to work, the ready-made Pa SET or Kronos file that comes with it must be loaded on your keyboard, and the SWAM instruments the set uses must be installed on your iPad or iPhone. I opened the app and my bank is empty.

That's normal: CBA Core opens with an empty bank every time. Load your set with Load Set from the menu on the COMBI screen: on day one, the ready-made set that comes with CBA Core; later, your own set file made with Export Combi Set.

My changes are gone the next time I open the app.

SAVE in the editor keeps a change for that session only. To keep it, create a new set file with Export Combi Set from the menu, and load that file with Load Set next time.

My keyboard doesn't show up.

Check the cable or the WIDI connection, then tap REFRESH MIDI in the right drawer: the connections are scanned again. On the SYS.SET screen, make sure your main keyboard is chosen for PORT 1. If you use WIDI, the adapter's name must include your keyboard model (e.g. WIDI PA4X).

My second keyboard or breath controller doesn't work.

Neither is ever chosen automatically. On the SYS.SET screen, choose your second keyboard for PORT 2; on a Pa series keyboard, choose your breath controller for PORT 3 // BREATH IN. With a Kronos, the breath controller comes in through the Kronos's own USB cable and is set up by the ready-made Kronos file; PORT 3 is not needed.

How do I connect a breath controller to a Pa?

On the Pa4X and Pa5X: plug the breath controller's MIDI cable into the keyboard's MIDI IN; plug the WIDI Jack (or the MIDI cable going to your audio interface) into the keyboard's MIDI THRU — not MIDI OUT. The Pa1000 has no MIDI THRU: breath controller ➔ WIDI Jack ➔ both the Pa1000 and the iPad. Then choose it in CBA Core under SYS.SET › PORT 3 // BREATH IN. Breath goes to all SWAM instruments as expression.

A sound I pick on the Pa doesn't show up on the iPad.

Check the Pa's MIDI channel setting first: on output, only channel 1 = Upper 1 should be on (see the Pa notes above).

On the Pa4X and Pa1000: make sure you have taught that sound to a USER slot on the iPad with LEARN; when you switch to a sound that hasn't been learned, SWAM goes quiet and the Pa plays its own sound.

On the Pa5X: the KBD Set's Upper 1 must have the iPad slot number as its EXT sound; when the Pa5X switches to its own sound, SWAM goes quiet and the iPad shows PA5X OWN SOUND PLAYING.

The transpose I set on the iPad isn't applied to my Pa.

Your Pa's Master Transpose may be locked; if it is, the transpose you set on the iPad may not be applied to the keyboard. Unlock it: on the Pa4X and Pa1000 at Global › General Controls › Lock › Tuning › Master Transpose · on the Pa5X at Settings › Menu › General Controls › Lock › Tuning › Master Transpose.

Koma, transpose or Learn doesn't work on my Kronos.

On the Kronos, Global › P1: MIDI › MIDI Filter › Enable Exclusive must be on.

The octave buttons don't change my Pa.

Pa series keyboards don't take octave commands; use the Pa's own octave buttons. The octave on the iPad moves the SWAM instruments and the Kronos together.

My portamento pedal doesn't work.

First check the pedal assignment: Portamento SW on the Kronos, Soft Pedal on the Pa4X, Pa1000 and Pa5X (see the keyboard notes above). The pedal works while the PORTAMENTO ENGINE button in the left drawer is set to PEDAL CONTROL; CBA Core starts in this mode every time.

A SWAM note is stuck.

Tap PANIC in the right drawer: the SWAM instruments go silent at once. No panic is sent to your keyboard, so it won't lock up.

A cable came out while I was playing.

The SWAM instruments go quiet. Plug the cable back in and carry on where you left off.

Do I need an audio interface?

Not with WIDI: your iPad or iPhone keeps its only port free, so charging and headphones work at the same time. If you prefer a fully wired setup, use a USB hub and an audio interface.
